Margaret Davidson (Later Thomason), who received an M.A. from Brown in 1928, was the personnel director from 1926 until 1927. Emma Bradford Stanton (1896) was the registrar of the Women's College and then Pembroke College from 1896 until 1932. Before 1927, the Brown registrar, perhaps with some consultation with the dean of the Women's College, handled the admission of women students. Eva Alberta Mooar became the director of admission and personnel in 1927 and formed a structured admission program. Mooar became an associate dean and the direct or of admission in 1944, and was dean of admission from 1947 until her retirement in 1954. Alberta Frances Brown was director of admission from 1954 until just before the merger of Pembroke College with Brown University in 1971. |
