Identifies risk and prevention factors for adolescentg. V. 1: Summary and policy options summarizes data on selected health and related problems of adolescents andon and treatment servicesided into two parts. Part I provides background information on adolescent health and discusses the roles and ins related to selected heacerns, with chapters on: accidental injuries; chronic physical illnesses; nutrition and fitness problems; dentaproblems; alcohol, tobaccdrug abuse; delinquency; and homelessness. Each chapter gives data on differences in prevalence by selected socisk factors (e.g., biologctors, beliefs and attitudes, and influence of family, community, and peers).
